Ultrasound is a treatment option with many advantages:

• Destruction of the cancerous tissue with minimal risk of lesion of the surrounding organs.
• Absence of irradiation.
• Treatment performed in one session.
• Short hospitalization.
• Treatment can be repeated.
• Other therapeutic alternatives can be considered in case of incomplete results.
• The treatment can be used for the treatment of local recurrence, i.e. after external beam radiotherapy.
